Puradigm Wipes Out CRE and E-coli on Stainless Steel

The results of this Kansas State University study show that the Puradigm Advanced Oxidation technology reduces Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) on inoculated Stainless Steel Surfaces. The microorganism used in this study was E. coli (ATCC 25922). The effect of the treatment increased consistently over time. The most effective treatment time was 24 hours and resulted in a 3.79 log CFU/cm2 reduction.

These results suggest that this technology may be useful in reducing the risks associated with Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacteriaceae in health care and other environments.
